Kiel University (CAU)

The state’s only comprehensive university is also its oldest and largest. Over 24,000 students are enrolled in more than 200degree programs. DHSH University of Applied Sciences

Currently 630 students study at DHSH University of Applied Sciences (DHSH), offering study programmes in Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Applied Computer Sciences, and Social Work. The central mission of DHSH is to offer research-based and practice-oriented dual study programmes that educate qualified, responsible, and team-oriented graduates at both Bachelor's and Master's levels. This is achieved through the use of innovative teaching and learning concepts as well as through interdisciplinarity. In addition, practice-oriented research and development activities support partner companies while simultaneously providing an essential foundation for teaching.

Europa-Universität Flensburg

Study, teach, and pursue research in a unique cross-border setting: the green campus of Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) is located directly on the German–Danish border in northern Schleswig-Holstein. Over 5,000 students study here in interdisciplinary degree programs focused on education, Europe, and sustainability and transformation. EUF is the only university in Schleswig-Holstein to offer teacher education programs for all types of schools, from primary to vocational.

Kiel University of Applied Sciences

In more than 40 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, around 8,000 students engage with current technological, economic, societal, and creative challenges. As the largest university of applied sciences in the state, it offers solid conditions for a forward-looking education and a smooth transition into professional life. FH Wedel University of Applied Sciences

The private University of Applied Sciences Wedel offers around 1,000 students 13 bachelor’s andnine master’s degree programs in the fields of IT, engineering, and business. Its unique features include programs such as Computer Games Technology, E-Commerce, Smart Technology, and IT Management and Consulting & Auditing, as well as a master’s degree in Sustainable & Digital Business Management. The only English-taught program is the Master’s in IT Engineering. Studies can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. In addition, all bachelor’s programs can also bepursued as dual study programs.

FH Westküste University of Applied Sciences

Hochschule Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS)

Let’s start the future now. We qualify tomorrow’s experts in our degree programmes on both bachelor’s and master’s level. The 3,000 students enrolled at FUAS deal with questions of the future in a broad range of areas: business, health care & life sciences, computer science & design as well as maritime matters, mechanical engineering, energy & sustainability. Which foods can help to protect the climate? How will we produce energy in the future? What will mobility look like? How can we operate ships in an environmentally sustainable manner? These are just some of the future challenges we are finding answers for.

Lübeck University of Music

Schleswig-Holstein’s only university of music is located in Lübeck’s old town. Around 500 musicians from 50 countries study here. Over 170 lecturers, musicians who perform worldwide, train students for careers in, for example, the stage, orchestras, churches, music education and teaching. Innovative courses in music education and the new professorships in »Sound Art & Creative Music Technology« and »Musicians’ Health« impart knowledge for the future. With over 400 events a year, the MHL is also one of the largest concert organisers in the state Schleswig-Holstein.

Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design

Around 600 students are enrolled at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in the degree programmes Fine Arts, Spatial Strategies, Communication Design and Industrial Design. Students training to become art teachers at secondary schools are also taught here. Through its project-based study programme, the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design provides a space for innovative experimentation and a wide range of artistic, creative and academic endeavours.

Technische Hochschule Lübeck

At TH Lübeck, approximately 5,000 students are enrolled in over 35 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the fields of engineering, natural sciences, business, and architecture. The university places particular emphasis on combining diff erent disciplines, such as medical engineering and information technology, environmental engineering and industrial engineering, as well as architecture and civil engineering. Other unique features include online courses and an international focus that off ers numerous double degrees at international universities.

Universität zu Lübeck (UzL)

The University of Lübeck has approximately 6,100 students enrolled in degree programs in medicine and health sciences, mathematics, natural sciences, psychology, computer science, and engineering. Midwifery, occupational therapy/speech therapy, medical informatics and medical engineering, as well as robotics and autonomous systems, are among the university's unique offerings. The University of Lübeck collaborates closely with the nearby Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein.
